Client background

  • The family contacted Barry initially to arrange a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) due to their elderly mother’s declining health.
  • Sadly their mother passed away while awaiting for the LPA to be registered by the Office of Public Guardianship. As a will was available, probate was required, and we were able to support the family in their probate application.

Client concerns and needs

  • Following their mother’s passing the family required guidance and support throughout the probate process.
  • Clients also had concerns about their own financial affairs and being prepared for the future.

Services provided

Following an initial chat with family members Barry began the process of organising an LPA and helped their mother update her existing will.

“Unfortunately our mother died before the LPA was granted, however Barry was there to help us navigate the complex probate process.

Providing compassionate support and guidance throughout the process, Barry took away all the stress and pressure at an incredibly difficult time for our family.

Since then Barry has organised personal wills for myself and my partner, and in all our interactions we have found him to be genuine and caring – never pressuring us into decisions just giving us honest advice.”

Results

“Knowledgeable, kind, professional and trustworthy he made us feel completely at ease from day one – we would highly recommended Barry for his expertise in legal matters.”
